Overview of the Installation Short Cuts

  1. Remove flare extensions.
  2. Install cable downstop assemblies (these support the step when it pivots down).

  4. Install 7 nutserts into existing holes in the frame.   These go in the stock holes that would be used for the factory side steps.   The nutsert installation tool and all hardware are provided.
  5. Install front pivot brackets with pressurized gas spring hardware onto the frame.
  6. Install rear pivot brackets onto frame.

  8. Attach step to pivot hardware already installed on the Jeep.
  9. Adjust hardware for correct fit, alignment, and clearance.   The Step_ON_It has several adjustments that allow for manufacturing tolerances and up to a 2" body lift.  Once I followed the instructions for adjustment (try first... read the instructions second, right!!), I achieved a perfect fit and alignment, even with my 1" body lift.
  10. Now it's on to the other side which will go much faster now that you know how everything fits.
